Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide when you create and use Albemo, including your name, email address, profile details, memories, written stories, photos, videos, voice recordings, family invitation details, privacy choices and support communications.

We also process limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as session identifiers, login timestamps, security logs, browser/device information and IP-related security signals.

If you use Google Sign-In, Google provides Albemo with the account identifier and basic profile information you authorize. Albemo does not receive your Google password. Email/password accounts use verification and account-security controls.

Paid Albemo plans are recurring subscriptions processed by Paddle, our payment and billing provider. Paddle processes payment-method, billing, tax and transaction information under its own privacy terms. Albemo stores the identifiers and subscription state needed to provide your plan, but does not store full payment-card numbers.

We use information to provide private memory storage and albums, authenticate accounts, process subscriptions, send service messages, enable sharing you request, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the service, provide support, comply with legal obligations and improve reliability.

Albemo does not sell your private memories or use them as an advertising product.

New albums are private by default. When you create a share link or grant family viewing access, anyone who receives that link or access may be able to view the content you selected. Treat an unlisted share link like a private invitation and send it only to people you trust.

We use service providers to operate Albemo. These may include Hostinger for application/database hosting, Cloudflare R2 for private media storage, Resend for transactional email, Google for optional sign-in, and Paddle for payment and subscription processing. These providers process information under their own terms and applicable data-protection obligations.

Albemo uses essential sessions for sign-in, security and core operation. Our internal analytics uses a session-scoped identifier. We use Meta Pixel and Conversions API by default to measure visits, registration, checkout and purchases and improve advertising, unless you opt out or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. We may share page activity, purchase value and currency, IP address, browser information, advertising click/browser identifiers and hashed email and account identifiers with Meta. Hashing supports matching and does not make this information anonymous. We do not include your photos, videos, album titles, memory text or private share links in these events. You can opt out of advertising tracking through Privacy choices / Opt out on our marketing pages or privacy page. We honor Global Privacy Control. Opting out stops future tracking; it does not recall data already sent. Advertising identifier cookies last up to 90 days and your privacy choice is remembered for up to 180 days. Pending matching payloads and checkout attribution are retained for up to seven days by the scheduled cleanup; minimal event delivery records remain for duplicate prevention. An active paid subscription is required to access your own collection. After paid access expires, your collection is locked and retained for 25 days. Renew before the displayed deletion deadline to restore access. Four email reminders are scheduled during this period. After the deadline, collection content is permanently removed from active storage; your login account and billing history remain. Deletion may be delayed when billing verification, reminder delivery or storage cleanup cannot be completed safely. You can delete your account from Settings. Deletion is designed to remove user-linked application records and associated stored media, subject to limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment records held by providers, protected backups or unresolved disputes.

We use access controls, private media delivery, HTTPS transport, hashed passwords and verification codes, secure session cookies, CSRF protection, rate limiting and server-side permission checks. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so keep independent copies of irreplaceable originals.

Albemo and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, applicable contractual, organizational or legal safeguards are used for cross-border processing.

Depending on where you live, including in the United States, United Kingdom or Canada, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection or complaints to a privacy regulator. Some rights vary by jurisdiction and may be subject to legal exceptions. Contact us to exercise a right that is not available directly in the product.

Albemo is intended for adults and is not designed for children to create independent accounts where doing so would violate applicable law.

We may update this policy as Albemo evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, where appropriate, additional notice.
