A share link is intentionally usable by anyone who receives that unlisted URL, so treat it like a private invitation. Albemo keeps new albums private until you choose to share them, and you remain responsible for who receives the link.

Keep the original album under your account

Sharing does not require creating a second copy of the album. The owner continues to manage the album from the Albemo account while relatives use the shared viewing link.

What people usually want to know.

Can I share an Albemo album through messaging apps?

Yes. You can copy the private album link and send it through text, email, or your preferred messaging service.

Does the viewer have to download Albemo?

No. The shared album is a web page and can be opened in a supported browser.

Is a shared link the same as a public listing?

No. Shared Albemo albums use unlisted tokenised links and are marked so normal search engines should not index the shared album pages. Anyone who has the link may still be able to open it, so only share it with people you trust.

Can I use a QR code?

Yes. Album sharing supports a QR code so another device can open the private album quickly.
